 | 1. POSITION SITE- BUILT CURB ON ROOF
Position and attach site-built curb to roof around the opening and check corners with frame square. Apply roofing underlayment, wrapping all four sides of the curb.

| 2. INSTALL ROOFING MATERIAL
Install the roofing material up to the bottom edge of the curb. Push corners of sill flashing tight again the curb. Nail the side pieces to the curb.
3. INSTALL THE STEP FLASHING PIECES
Interweave step flashing pieces with roofing material from bottom to top on both sides. Place step pieces tight again the frame and shingles (minimum 4" overlap). Bottom edge of step flashing piece should be flush with bottom edge of the shingle. Nail step flashing pieces to the frame ( Do not nail to roof deck.)
4. INSTALL HEAD FLASHING
The head flashing must be placed under roofing felt to insure proper drainage. Push head flashing tight against curb and nail the side pieces to the curb (Do not nail to roof deck). Complete roofing above skylight cover. |
